Updates and Changes
08-09-2011 - The following updates and changes have been made:
1) Cash prizes are officially back on starting the next game session!! (Session TS212). The top three overall winners of the next game session will be able to choose
whether they would like to receive instant cash into their Paypal account, or if they would like to receive equivalent credits to be put into their credit bank instead.
2) New vehicles have been added! Check them out, try them out, and if you're having problems with any of them, just give us a shout!
3) Topshift is now on Facebook! Check out our PAGE if you are on Facebook, be a fan and "like" our page, and spread the word!
07-19-2011 - The following updates and changes have been made:
1) We are currently in the process of updating our database, and therefore there will be no cash prizes given for the next game period.
2) New vehicles have been added! Check them out, try them out, and if you're having problems with any of them, just give us a shout!
02-09-2011 - The following updates and changes have been made:
1) We are currently in the process of switching our servers, and therefore there will be no cash prizes given for the next game period.
2) Credit purchases are still available for the next game period. HOWEVER, if there is any difficulty during the game period, there will be no credit reimbursement without proof of purchase.
3) Game clock will show an accurate time for the next game period. However, the next game period might be shorter than usual.

1) NIRA now runs every hour!
2) Time limit on racing the same player again has been reduced from 10min to 5min
06-15-2008 - The following updates and changes have been made:
1) You can now have more then one (1) team driver. If you have more than one team car in the team garage, any one of your team mates can get in it and score points as a team driver.
2) As long as a member of your team is using a team car, they will score points for your team in any of the tournament races/circuit series.

05-20-2008 - The following updates and changes have been made:
Non-license (Amateur) holders cannot CHALLENGE a player that holds *any* license, however a player that *has* a license can challenge *anyone*.
05-18-2008 - The following updates and changes have been made:
1) You no longer have the option to Accept or Decline a race challenge. You can challenge anyone at any time (certain restrictions apply) and the race will occur immediately. Credits are charged to the challenger.
You can race as much as you'd like provided you have credits. If you've raced player X, you must wait 10min before you can re-race the player X again.
Non-license holders cannot race players with a License.
2) Experience has been updated. Racing another online player yields more experience as does racing someone closer to your own skill level. Achieving higher skill level also gains more experience.
3) Circuit, JGTC and WRC races are now 12 hours apart. Qualifying window has been opened to 8hr proceeding the race start time.
4) NIRA now runs every 4 hours.
5) Vehicle speeds have been updated.
6) You now have a "Race Options" Menu in your "My Home" page at the top. If you have a Membership, these settings will purchase fuel, nitrous, tune-up and tires for you if you are challenged to a race while you are offline.
*Remember: This option will only work for Members only!

NIRA Tournament seeding arrangements have been updated to be more realistic and fair

You must race with the same car you originally qualified with in any NIRA event
You no longer receive 200 points in the 5th round of a NIRA event. You receive 100 points.
Speeds (quarter-mile times) have been modified on all vehicles
Race challenges now appear on your screen in real-time rather than requiring a page refresh
Messages/Notifications within the game are now displayed in REAL-TIME, no longer requiring a page refresh.
Crews are now limited to a maximum of 10 members
New medals have been added for all NIRA classes
NIRA entry cost has been reduced from 80 credits to 60 credits
A "Challenge" link has been added to the Who's Online page next to each online player's name

10-08-2006 - The following updates and changes have been made:
Formula 1 and Nascar have been added!
You can now purchase and race F1 and Nascar vehicles. In order to purchase an F1 or Nascar vehicle, you must attain an International B (IB) license.
To enter and compete in F1 and Nascar races, the vehicle MUST BE set as a team car. F1 and Nascar vehicles can only compete in F1 and Nascar events.
You cannot "tune-up" your F1 or Nascar vehicle as reliability diminishes. You must sell it and build a new one.
You can now pick up F1 and Nascar sponsors, however, you must have your IB license in order to target them for sponsorship.
08-12-2006 - The following updates and changes have been made:
All Nira Competitions have been changed to reflect the Circuit Racing Style.
This means that instead of having the Nira Competitions fill up right when the previous race ends
with multiple accounts and bots, it will give everybody with the fastest cars a chance to race and enter.
What will happen now is entry to all the races will be open to all racers until race time, however; only the top 16
fastest cars will compete in the competition when the time arrives.
This should remove almost all cheaters and multiple account abusers in the game and make the game fair for all players to play!

1) Drag tournaments now require a 80 credit entry fee
2) Entry licensing restrictions have been changed in NIRA and Circuit races
3) If you do not upgrade your skill level after you've already reached the required experience points to obtain it, you will make less experience points per race.
4) If you do not purchase a new racing license after you've already reached the required skill level to obtain it, you will make less experience points per race.
5) The experience required per skill level has been reduced significantly
12-05-2004 - The following updates and changes have been made:
1) Minimum number of press kits required to promote your sponsors has been raised
2) You can only enter one Drag Tournament at a time
3) Nitrous/Turbocharger/Supercharger install/uninstall vehicle value bug has been fixed
4) Replying to private messages when the user has changed their race name has been fixed
5) You can now purchase "Invulnerability" for your vehicle so that it cannot be stolen for a period of time
11-01-2004 - The following changes have been made:

2) You now have a handling "state of tune" condition displayed for you in your Home page
3) Tournament drag races are only held once every 2 hours with sub rounds in 5 mins intervals, just like before
4) Tournament drag racing points have been restructured. You now receive more points in Class B tournaments
